iD Additives Enters Liquid Color & Additives Business
As a testament to "liquid color is alive and thriving", yet another new player enters the business.
Ten-year old additives masterbatch supplier iD Additives, La Grange, Ill., has made its market debut in the liquid color and additives business for thermoplastics and with a focus on the PET caps & closures and bottle sectors.
The fast-growing company offers foaming agents, UV stabilizer systems, purging compounds and additive masterbatches. Technical manager Brian Cochran has 30+ years of experience in the plastics industry and is an expert in color and appearance additives among other areas. Cochran says, the new liquid color and additives lines is based on new proprietary carrier technology and offers several advantages.
In fact, a PT webinar in conjunction with iD Additives’ Cochran is being held November 5 at 2:00 pm. Cochran is addressing technology advancements, including carrier systems, delivery equipment, manufacturing systems, and multi-functional color/additive systems; PET bottle/packaging; caps & closures, and color critical applications; and, cost savings via inventory management, high pigment/additive loadings and elimination of manual labor.
