Injection-blow molding machinery specialist Jomar Corporation has broadened its line with the addition of extrusion blow machines from Automa by Magic in Italy. Jomar is the exclusive distributor for these machines in the U.S. and Canada. The Automa by Magic line is described as simple hydraulic machines, enhanced by the company’s new Uniko 2.0 PLC controls and software. The line includes three accumulator-head machines from 28 to 55 tons clamp capacity and seven continuous-extrusion shuttles from 8 to 33 tons. A special version of the largest press is designed specifically for molding stackable jerry cans. Jomar will feature these machines along with its own newest injection-blow unit (see Keeping Up section) at the K 2022 show next month in Düsseldorf.
Automa by Magic was established in 2018 by Italian blow molding machinery producer Magic MP after its acquisition of Automa the year before. Magic, which produces only all-electric machines, has kept Automa by Magic as a separate operation at its own location in Italy. Magic North America is in Whitmore Lake, Mich.
