The Next Generation Group announced it has acquired a majority share of HydroDyn, a provider of plastic waste purifying and cleaning technology. The strategic partnership is expected to complement Next Generation’s existing portfolio of plastics recycling equipment, particularly in post-consumer recycling.

Under the terms of the agreement, HydroDyn will work closely with Next Generation Group while retaining operational independence. The collaboration will enable the two companies to deliver comprehensive end-to-end recycling solutions. The shared objective is to prioritize the attainment of specific polymer characteristics that are essential for a diverse array of commodity applications, in order to effectively substitute virgin plastics.

Josef Hachreiter, CEO at Next Generation, said that HydroDyn will help the company to meet rising demand for recycling equipment. Michael Hoffman, CEO at HydroDyn, said the partnership will benefit HydroDyn through financial backing and access to Next Generation’s global network.
