Arburg Welcomes New Trainees

Arburg’s latest class of apprentices numbers 77 and will be joined by a group of students from an area university.

German headquartered injection molding machine and automation supplier Arburg (Lossburg), now has a 269 apprentices and students training at the company, adding 77 new apprentices as well as students from the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) on Sept. 1.

Arburg notes that its apprentice system is triple-certified and features a 16-person team led by training manager Michael Vieth. The training takes place in the 21,500-ft2 Vocational Training Center at the company’s Lossburg headquarters.

Arburg said in a release that it plans to take on more than 100 new trainees and DHBW students in 2022. The spectrum includes, for example, DHBW degree programs in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, (business) IT, as well as commercial and technical professions such as mechatronics engineer, process mechanic, industrial mechanic, industrial clerk or technical product designer. New additions include machining mechanics and warehouse logistics specialists.

Arburg’s newest class of apprentices began training on Sept. 1.
