ENTEK Buys Material Handling & Conveying Company
Compounding machinery builder acquires Adaptive Engineering & Fabrication, which specializes in difficult to handle and convey materials.
Compounding machinery builder ENTEK Manufacturing has acquired Adaptive Engineering & Fabrication (AEF), a supplier of material handling systems for difficult-to-handle and convey materials. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
AEF, based in Placentia, Calif, has worked with ENTEK on projects for years, ENTEK said in a release. Combining the companies was a natural next step in the relationship and an opportunity to provide a more streamlined platform for customers, ENTEK added.
“Together we will be able to leverage our teams to better serve our customers,” said Kim Medford, president of ENTEK Manufacturing. “We will be even better positioned to share resources and deploy systems that will make building a plant or buying equipment solutions from the combined ENTEK AEF teams an even better experience.”
AEF will remain at its current location. As part of the transaction, all of the AEF employees will stay with the company and Rick Buschini and Chuck Nadolski will continue to lead the sales, development, and installation of material handling equipment with the support of the ENTEK engineering and project management teams.
“Together we will be able to grow our combined company to provide our equipment and engineering services to customers in North America and beyond. Combining with ENTEK’s international footprint and knowledge provides us a platform to better serve our current and future customers both domestically and internationally,” said Buschini, v.p material handling sales.
ENTEK said it will build both extrusion and material handling equipment in its new location in Henderson, Nev., providing the necessary space and additional resources to support the growth of the combined companies.
