Kurz Opens New Plant in Vietnam

The maker of decorative thin films invested 37 million euros in the new 60,000-m2 plant in Quy Nhơn, which joins regional production facilities in China and Malaysia.

Leonhard Kurz has opened a new 60,000-m2 production facility in Quy Nhơn, Vietnam, investing 37 million euros in the site with a production capacity of roughly 15 million m2 of transfer products annually starting in 2024. This site supports existing regional production facilities in China and Malaysia.

In a release, Kurz said Vietnam will primarily manufacture products for the plastic finishing of products in the automotive, consumer electronics and home appliances sectors. The new production facility in Vietnam is one of 12 globally for the company, spread amon Europe, Asia and the U.S.

Kurz decorative products and services include hot stamping, cold transfer, digital transfer, in-mold decoration (IMD), thermal transfer ribbons, insert molding, thermal forming, application equipment, tooling and digital services.
